BABY TEETH MAY BE TEMPORARY, but they’re certainly not “practice teeth”. Your child’s early dental care is so incredibly important!
Baby Teeth Are Essential To Future Development
Baby teeth perform many functions, including:
- Ensuring proper nutrition through chewing and eating
- Aiding in speech development
- Holding suitable space for permanent teeth to come in even and healthy
- Creating the groundwork for good dental habits
Baby Teeth Last Longer Than You Think!
Your Child’s Dental Foundation Matters Right NOW
We believe that early dental care for your children should be focused on making their experience be positive and fun. At any time that dental problems are found that we can not handle, a referral to a children’s specialist would be recommended.
When To Graduate From Pedodontist To General Dentist
Once a child has lost all of “baby” teeth, we encourage that they switch to an adult dentist to continue their dental care. Pedodontists are terrific with what they do for children but in this office we utilize state of the art technology and have a different philosophy of what your child should do with their adult dentition.
